FRIDAY,  JUNE 11, 2021

 

A Memorial Unity Walk is being organized by Atchison Juneteenth, Atchison United, Atchison Art Association and the City of Atchison.

Please come join us at 7pm at the corner of 6th and Santa Fe and we will end the walk at 5th Street Viaduct with a candlight vigil. You can also drive your car. This memorial walk will consist of 4 stops with information relating to the history of a black man named George Johnson who was lynched in 1870. This is a Unity Walk for all races and ethnicities to come together to remember the past and work on embracing a brighter future together!!
